5. Internationaler Kongress - Styrian Noise, Vibration & Harshness
The acoustic refinement of vehicles and beyond – an interdisciplinary approach presented by leading international experts.
In todays vehicle market it is mandatory to provide both low fuel consumption and low-emission products at lowest costs. The challenge to NVH engineers is to design vehicles with brand specific characteristics. We need the experimental and simulation tools to meet proposed targets. The design cycle demands consideration of novel materials and arrangements in the vehicle. By facing these challenges, we augment our engineering knowledge and increase capabilities.
For these needs, the biennial International Styrian Noise, Vibration & Harshness Congress in Graz, Austria, provides an ideal platform to discuss new ideas, insights and technologies as well as for networking. The congress is organized in cooperation with the Society of Automotive Engineering International (SAE) and has become a well established event in the automotive acoustic world.
The congress aims to bring together engineers and specialists from industry, research institutes and universities to discuss the possibilities and current achievements in vehicle NVH. Speakers and participants from leading centres are expected from all over the world.
Sessions and workshops will be complemented by a technical exhibition presenting the latest simulation and experimental technologies.
Sessions are organised for the following topics:
• NVH and hybrids (powertrain)
• Tyre-road and rolling noise
• Full vehicle comfort optimisation
• Modelling and manufacturing of intake and exhaust systems
• Powertrain optimisation
In addition to the traditional technical presentations, covering the most important current topics, there will be workshops on several critical developments, including:
• Improving interior noise simulation and design processes
• Achieving reliable results from aero-acoustic simulation
• Predicting and assessing sound quality for smaller vehicles
• Layered trim & porous materials
