Ursprung Buam - Solotour 2010
13.04.2010

The original group from the Zillertal
The curtain rises on Austria’s most successful folk music group: The URSPRUNG BUAM. The heart rejoices and your legs will start dancing all by themselves. The solo tour of the three full-blooded musicians from the Zillertal finally continues.
And you can be certain, the fans of folk music will get just what they have always been yearning for: true folk music performed at the highest level of perfection but always with a twinkle in the eye, and what is more, it is totally right for parties. In a nutshell: the best home-grown folk music. The URSPRUNG BUAM are indisputably Austria’s ‘No. 1 Folk Music Group’. Wherever they perform, the mood simmers, and from the first note to the last, it is clear that Martin Brugger, Andreas Brugger and Manfred Höllwarth pour their hearts and souls into their performance. As far as their music is concerned, the URSPRUNG BUAM combine tradition with their highly individual style. The boys win over their audiences with a high degree of musicality and a sensational presence on the stage. Every year their route through Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the Benelux countries is paved with numerous, highly acclaimed concerts. What triggered the popularity of the URSPRUNG BUAM was the top place in the Folk Music Hit Parade of Austria’s state Radio, ORF, in 1998. The increasing number of their dedicated fans have already given them 13 gold and 1 platinum albums in Austria. In 2001, they reaped the ‘Austria Music Award – Amadeus’ for the most successful folk music group in Austria. Their rustic and traditional way of making music and their distinctive, striking voices are the group’s hallmark, and quite a few Après Ski parties have meanwhile become true URSPRUNG BUAM happenings. However, also really local songs with honest, romantic texts play an important role in the repertoire of the BUAM. You feel right from the first tone that they are enthusiastic about their music; they are straight and unwaveringly pursue their own way. Suddenly a spark ignites and old and young erupt in enthusiasm on their benches when the three full-blooded musicians passionately and with great joy start their show on stage.
